For Siemens TIA Portal V21 · Windows
Drive TIA Portal over HTTP — or with AI.
A local API that creates the project, assembles the hardware, authors the logic, compiles it and downloads it to the PLC. You don't deal with net48, x64, or the fact that Openness refuses concurrent access — the app carries that complexity and hands back HTTP/JSON.
The download is free and always was. The license unlocks use, not the download.
- 01create the project
- 02build the hardware
- 03author LAD + SCL
- 04compile clean
- 05download to the PLC
- Offline validation
- The key is checked locally. The bench needs no internet.
- 76 tools in the MCP
- One tool per operation. Public, free npm package.
- Tray GUI and CLI
- One .exe on Windows. No remote server, no cloud in the path.
Three layers. One paid.
The HTTP client and the AI harness are open. The license gates the app that talks to Openness.
App / API
Loads the Openness DLLs, serializes access to TIA Portal and exposes it all as HTTP/JSON on localhost. This is what the license unlocks.
MCP server
A thin HTTP client, one tool per operation, on the public npm registry. This is how the AI agent talks to the app.
Harness
Skills, subagents and the operating guide that teach the AI where it has to stop — download, go online, safety logic. Claude Code, Codex and Gemini CLI.
What the license unlocks
scopes enforced per route
| Tier | Scopes | What the client can do |
|---|---|---|
| Basic | read, author | Read the project and author offline — blocks, tags, hardware, compile. Does not download to the PLC. |
| Pro DEPLOY | read, author, deploy | Everything in Basic + download, upload and online — the full cycle down to the PLC. |
| 30-day trial | Pro scopes | Full Pro for 30 days, no card. Does not renew. |
| Enterprise | full | Wildcard, by proposal. |
The line between Basic and Pro is deploy. If you only assemble and review a project, Basic covers it. If you download to the PLC, it's Pro.
Pricing
License per seat, for the period you choose. No lock-in contract and no setup fee.
Basic
Read the project and author offline — blocks, tags, hardware, compile. Does not download to the PLC.
Pro
DEPLOYEverything in Basic + download, upload and online — the full cycle down to the PLC.

The final currency and amount are set at checkout by the billing entity: a Brazilian CNPJ pays in BRL, any other entity pays in USD.

We don't replace TIA Portal or STEP 7 — we automate the work done on top of them.

Reseller and guide figures for older or unspecified versions, reproduced as published — an order of magnitude, not a quote.
Proven on hardware, not on a slide.
The whole cycle ran against a physical PLC, not a simulator — including the three ways a web app talks to that same PLC.
Full cycle on an S7-1200 1214C
Project created, logic authored in LAD and SCL, clean compile, download — and the program running on the PLC.
Three protocols on the same PLC
Modbus TCP, S7 (PUT/GET) and OPC UA controlling the same output, validated on the bench.
The compile is the verifier
Compile aggregates hardware and software and must close at zero errors before any download.
What's verifiable today — any visitor can check for themselves:
Open client code
The MCP is published on npm and the plugin on the marketplace, with a public version history.
Dated app releases
Every app version ships as a public GitHub release, dated and noted — you can see the product's pace before buying.
Full trial, no card
30 days with Pro scopes on your own PLC. The proof that matters is your project running.
Why this can't be improvised
Four things that cost months for anyone trying to build this alone — already solved here.
The AI stops where it has to
Downloading to the PLC, going online and touching safety logic are human decisions. That's a product rule, not prompt goodwill: the AI prepares everything, shows what it's about to do and waits for your go-ahead. A loose agent inside a TIA Portal is every plant manager's nightmare — here, it doesn't exist.
The part nobody wants to maintain
Openness refuses a DLL copied into your program's folder, won't accept two operations at once, requires a local Windows group and asks for a manual confirmation on the first connection. Anyone who's tried to automate this has lost weeks to these four details. The app absorbs all of them and hands back HTTP/JSON.
Works without internet
The license is checked on the machine itself. An isolated bench, a closed industrial network, a site with no signal — none of that takes your tool down, and no data from your project leaves your network to reach us.
You're not locked in
The HTTP client and the harness are open and free, across three different agents. And what the tool produces is a real TIA project — blocks, tags, hardware — that opens in TIA Portal and stays yours the day you stop paying.
Tools included

Full manual →- STEP 01
Install
Run the installer on the machine that already has TIA Portal V21. Then open the app and use setup: it prepares the environment, and check confirms it's all set.
- STEP 02
Activate the license
Paste the key that arrived by e-mail into the app. Verification is local — the bench machine needs no internet to work.
- STEP 03
Drive it
Bring up the local API and speak HTTP/JSON, or point your AI agent at the MCP and work in natural language, with the gates in place.
Windows local group
Your Windows user needs to be in the Siemens TIA Openness local group, created when TIA Portal/Openness was installed. setup adds your user to it, and check confirms it.
Trust dialog on the 1st connection
The first time, TIA Portal asks for a manual confirmation. That's expected — not an install failure.
Works offline
The key is validated locally, without calling our servers. An isolated bench, a closed industrial network, a site with no signal — the app works the same.
Your license is valid for the period you paid
Your license is valid for the period you paid; while your subscription is active, we e-mail the next cycle's key before it expires. Paste it into the app and carry on — no account, no password.
